I call it truthful hyperbole.

It’s an innocent form of exaggeration — and a very effective form of promotion.”

Donald Trump

———-

Ok.

While Trump has often been called a carnival act it almost seems more like the old HBO show Carnivale today. In fact … today I label him a little minded big mouth jerkwad <although I want to call him an asshat>.

Regardless.

Other than my one previous post on Trump where I outlined why I disliked his management style I have refrained from investing any of my reader’s time & energy in reading anything about Trump because I believed it just wasn’t worth anyone’s time & energy.

But today I need to debunk a Trumpism <which is apparently a truth in some parallel universe>.

watch uh oh shit

To be clear.

I find his distortion of truth & facts disgusting.

In addition he suggests common sense; his in particular, trumps facts.

This is the type of thinking, the worst of rationale, that the stupid & ignorant and the people who do not have the experience & knowledge use as they attempt to debate with others who actually have the experience & knowledge.

This suggests that anyone can do a job and if they don’t do it the way common sense suggests it should be done than … well .. the other person is just stupid.

This is also the same fucked up logic that suggests someone without a college degree has to be stupid.

This is stupid logic.

Stupid rationale.

And being offered by a stupid person.

But today he crossed a Bruce line.

Not in his general stupidity of distortion of facts.

Nor in his heinous suggestion that all Muslims be refused entry into our country – a nation built about freedom of religion and freedom to think – but in that he invoked a PewResearch study to support his heinous suggestion <the people at Pew must be tearing their hair out>.

I have used this research in a past post to make a point about Muslims. Pew research spanned 39 countries surveying, in depth as they typically do, Muslim attitudes.

==truth people hate

I wrote this back in February 2013:

Religion per se is not the issue.

Extremism is the issue.

We should not confuse the issue.

<Most Muslims want democracy, personal freedoms & Islam in politics: PewResearch>

==

Suffice it to say a religion and a religious belief does not circumvent the inherent human desire for freedoms and aspects of what is offered within a democratic society.

Suffice it to say 99.9% of Muslims do not have any desire for violent extremism … in fact … that same majority mostly desire the exact opposite.

Suffice it to say … we certainly are not at war with all Muslims.

And I do not think it is particularly helpful or enlightened or even constructive to encourage anti Islam phobia by suggesting Islam is the enemy.

The enemy are nutcases.

The enemy are those people who distort views so much they lose all hues of color and their view simply becomes black.

The enemy reside within the fringe and we shouldn’t treat them as a viable alternative in any form or fashion in the world.

When I read those words I could suggest Trump is the enemy … but I will not.

trump make america great

He is simply a simple man distorting facts under the guise of common sense and a misguided belief with regard to what ‘being strong’ is … in combination with an unhealthy view on ‘winning is everything <any path to winning is a good path>.”

I cringe when he says ‘make America great again’ … what a fucking hypocrite.

He is suggesting today to eliminate one of the main things that has MADE America great.

In fact … almost every time he opens his mouth he diminishes what makes America great.

Trump is “the great diminisher.” He diminishes other people. He diminishes great ideas & thinking.  He diminishes truth & facts <using what he calls truthful hyperbole … an innocent form of exaggeration>. He diminishes the underlying foundational ideas that made America … well … America.

Well.

Maybe he believes America really isn’t that great and wants to reshape it in this absurd parallel universe in which Trump is god & rules this universe based on his common sense rather than facts & truth.

This little minded big mouthed man is dangerous to the idea of America not just to the people of it.

This little minded big mouthed jerkwad dangerously suggests running a country demands lack of political correctness but lack of civility & dignity & respect for others in general.
