Well.windows superhero spider

We use the term ‘heroes’ these days as often as we do conjunctions (words like and, but and or) but superheroes will always be simply superheroes.

Not nouns, participles, adverbs, adjectives or any random grammatical reference … superheroes will always be <and should be> distinct stand alone points of reference.

And when superheroes get to actually be superheroes in everyday life … well … it should be celebrated as an unusual … and important … event.

Most recently Squeegee Cleaning Services partnered with Children’s Hospital of Alabama to do the bi-annual window cleaning for the building making it more exciting for the young patients by wearing superhero costumes on the job.

But they are doing this in many places across the nation.

And it should be celebrated each and every time.

Simply.

This is awesome.

Not heroic … but simply awesome.

Let me paraphrase the famous ‘yes, there is a Santa Claus’ letter:

“Yes, Virginia, there are Superheroes. They exist as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Superheroes. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.”

Superheroes exist on the hearts & minds of children. Let them live on … every day.
