I am an optimist when it comes to people and USA.
I admit it.
And I have had so many frickin’ arguments with people with regard to the perception of “country has never been this divided” type crap.
I don’t buy it and I do not believe it.
I do believe we have some issues as a country … I do believe some people are stubbornly holding on to opinions as if they are mandates … and our overall rhetoric is horrible … but it feels worse than it really is. It is talked about so much that most people, even if they are relatively happy, actually feel like they should be unhappy or dissatisfied.
I believe, in my heart of hearts, we get confused between rhetoric and reality.
All of us get confused <and the media commits communication malpractice in how they bastardize numbers & research, feed minor perceptions making them feel major and neglect to point out any possible positives in lieu of negatives>.
But when reality is given an opportunity to step to the forefront , in general, people are good … people actually like each other and do not hate each other … and people will get along with other people regardless of their views.
But that only happens when we stop talking and start listening and … well … maybe focus on something other than some opinion we have that we believe everyone should have.
Dogs remind us of that.
Vote For Good – Pedigree
The government should cover the expenses for this Pedigree commercial.
It, and a dog, reminds us that there is good in all of us if we give good an opportunity to show its heart.
