“We laughed and laughed, together and separately, out loud and silently, we were determined to ignore whatever needed to be ignored, to build a world from nothing if nothing in our world could be salvaged, it was one of the best days of my life, a day during which i lived and didn’t think about living at all. Later that year, when it became cold, we held each other and made a fire and used our laughter for kindling.”

So.

Every once in a while you find something that someone has written on some random blog that is so well crafted you wish you had written it yourself.

This is one of those things.

(of course … with my luck it is a famous literary reference that i am not aware of … but … i still wish i had written it)

Regardless. This may become my definition for togetherness.

In one incredibly well written paragraph it describes the simple but complex bond two inseparable people have.

I have nothing to add.

It captures the essence of what togetherness should be for everyone perfectly.

Interestingly I believe this was written by a teen. Maybe even a tween-aged girl. Interesting? Because, frankly, I didn’t learn this about being together and a great relationship until I was much much older. Kids can be pretty wise.

Oh.

The picture.

And because I loved this quote so much I have included the link to the picture I have used for the post from deviantart.  If you have never visited deviant art (www.deviantart.com) and you like incredible photography and artwork go now. Don’t wait.  You can spend hours perusing some of the most imaginative creative amateur art you have ever seen.
