Ok.

In the interest in sharing words … here are two of my favorite tumblr accounts at the moment.

Young people with a reverence for words.

Love it.

One, a thousand words, is dedicated to … well … words. Images, quotes, selected phrases from books … doesn’t matter.

If it is a good use of words you will find it here.

The author of the blog, a young woman in Great Britain <I believe>, is a shameless proponent of reading. This means she not only encourages reading thousand words book<‘well done’ … I say> but she tends to use random thoughts pulled directly from books which you may not have read.

This tumblr blog is a fabulous place to get caught up in words and think.

A thousand words: This blog is about words. Pictures with writing, beautiful quotes, introspective song lyrics, clever typography or even the occasional cartoon that has made me nod in agreement, laugh or just think for a little while. A few carefully arranged words can say what 1,000 can’t, and can connect people.

Second.

Michelle K on tumblr.

This is a different place for words. She writes poetry.

She is a 20something who writes with a little bit of an edge. She writes things that have a little bit bite to it. Good stuff. Makes you think.

Warning … she can get a little snarky in answering questions … but her writing has real potential.

Some things she writes are spectacular for one so young … and others just have a hidden gem <a line or a thought>.

Regardless.

Good young writer.

Lots of potential.

Thoughtful words used well.

Nothing else for today.

I love any people, but especially young people, who not only love words but use words lovingly. I like the fact that they recognize even the smallest actions, and words, can contribute to something bigger.
