Unintended or intended Iranian consequences

In all the hateful, and fear driven, rhetoric we in America seem to direct toward Iran on almost a daily basis we seem to forget they are also in election season.

Now.

One could posit that the ones who negotiated the Iranian nuclear agreement knew this. That they were awake enough to consider this factor as negotiations over nuclear weapons continued.

The Iranian election actually revolves around … wow … wait for it … the economy.

While their version of the right wing party is pounding away on religion and isolationist type rhetoric the moderate voice of their government is pounding away on private enterprise WITHIN a religious construct.

How does this relate to the recent Iranian nuclear agreement?

Some thoughts:

1. By taking nuclear development off the table <or at least tabled for now> internal monies typically allocated to this end are now able to be diverted to other budget items … some military and some not.

2. By freeing up funds there is actually funding available from a centralized government to help fund private enterprise <think what China did with underwriting various companies and innovation.

3. By freeing up sanctions there is now actually a path for Iranian companies to prosper outside of their limited economic view.

Personally I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a more ‘capitalist thoughtful’ government after the latest Iranian elections.

Cue Rouhani’s presidential election victory in 2013.

And in office Rouhani has resumed the ‘traditional right’ policies of pragmatism in foreign policy and encouragement of private enterprise, squeezed for years by sanctions and by a creeping state and quasi-state sectors. There is every reason for Larijani and Nategh-Nouri to support him, even if some mild relaxation of cultural policy or press control follows.

Let’s be clear.

The Iranian rhetoric toward the West will possibly become a little less loud but the strains of anti-west will remain as their government ideology, decisions within a religion construct, will remain. But their version of governing is modernizing before our eyes.

It is their version of Religion-based Democracy Capitalism.

It is their version of China’s Communist-based Capitalism.

And, well, it is their version of governing <whether it seems foreign to Americans or not>.

I will never suggest that Iran and America will ever be ‘friends’ <although I imagine one could still be friendly on occasion> nor will I ever suggest that Iran and America will be aligned on how to govern its people and the rights of people.

I am also constantly surprised pundits don’t point out that for once this issue is simple in that it revolves around one basic fundamental governing truth which separate the two – one believes governing thru religion and one believes separation of religion & governing.

But I will suggest that while there may appear to be some unintended consequences of the Iranian Nuclear agreement that we should give the negotiators a little more credit than we have been up to this point.

I tend to believe they foresaw the possibilities and the positive consequences, while certainly not a given, we intended.

like a leader, action and consequences, actions today make who i am tomorrow, advertising, affecting organization thru actions, affecting people’s conflict behavior, africa economy, aiming high, aligning generational attitude and technology and consumer trends, Almost anything else is negotiable, alters the economic landscape toward people, america repairing it’s faults, America will be aligned, American foreign policy Syria, american foreign policy Syria and stuff, American politicians are running around acting like, Americans look & sound like idiots, America’s affordable healthcare act sign up, America’s character, and fear driven, architects of fate, as a normally proud American, as the Iran deal is implemented, at their side of the table facing Iran, because we can do something, Becoming knowledgeable, behavior in new economic world, believes governing thru religion, believes separation of religion & governing, better than every other country, brand, branding, builders versus renovators, building character, business, Business Thoughts, buy as soon as possible, can iran manage it’s own issues, capitalism and morals, capitalism communism, capitalist thoughtful, change begins in the head, change forces prioritizing, change takes remarkable effort, changed behavior, changing objectives to make change, character, charming cities in europe, china economy, China’s Communist-based Capitalism, clarity of ideological thinking, clash of opinions, communication, communism embracing capitalism, communism in the 1900s, community individualism, company of adventurers, conflict and people, consider this factor as negotiations over nuclear weapons continued, consumers are complicated, could throw the entire balance, countries around Iran hate this deal, countries can make change, country geography, country mortality, creating positive touchpoints, creating the next generation of thinkers, creative destruction and the financial crisis, creativity in economic thinking, crisis creates a new generation of leaders, cult of ignorance, cult of ignorance (and I am scared), cultivating behavior and attitudes, cultural shifts between generations, cultures, cumbersome rules for procurement, curiosity is the enemy of ignorance, Damned if you, Damned if you don’t, deal done with smart people on both sides of the negotiating table, deal was never about hostages, deals and foreign policy are completed, Deals are negotiating and compromising, deciding what to do, decision making, decisions revolve around that one word, democracy, Democracy Capitalism, democracy in america, democracy struggles, democratic uprisings, depression versus recession, depth of character to face everyday life, desire for democracy, developing cross cultural skills, developing minds of next generation of thinkers, developing social and emotional competencies, direct toward Iran on almost a daily basis, discussing affairs and issues around the world, discussing issues around the world never goes out of style, diverted to other budget items, doesn’t set back the advance of freedom, doing nothing, Doing nothing means you lose, Doing what is right is never, driving economic growth, dynamic beyond our own purposes, dynamics of people, easier to sit with those who share your opinion, economic center of gravity, economic inequality, economically it shifts the balance of power, economy, economy and power, educating using the net, education to enlighten, effect of recession, effective teaching globally, elections, empowers the Iranian private sector, encouraging curiosity, encouraging understanding of choices, enlightened conflict, enlightened democracy, enlightened government, enlightened people, enlightened reading, enlightened thinking, enlightening reading, established a formal diplomatic relation, euro in ukraine, events are meant to be commanded not feared, every one is an architect of life, excellence in tough but how tough, it was about nukes, judge for yourself, keenly aware of america’s flaws, leaders and character, leaders and needs are uncertain at best, leadership, learning, least competent are usually prone to overestimating their talents, leave behind the big guys trying to rely solely on operations, leave behind the guys who rely solely on operations, lessons, let the frickin’ program unfold, letting go is difficult, letting go is not simple, life, life is a winding road, life lessons, lifting of certain sanctions supports forward movement, light in the darkness of ignorance, listen for the whispers of truth & knowledge, makes America look the stupidest, making decisions, making shit is good, managing perceptions, Marx and capitalism, marx and engel and founding fathers, mass mingling impact on Global Generation, meaningful contributions to the world, measuring generational attitudes, measuring generational behavior, michelanglo, middle east, middle east is complex, not black or white, must be accountable, neither conservative nor moral, no country in the world that would agree to that, no easy steps in middle east, not a deal between the USA and Iran, not one negotiated between friends, not suggesting we impose our morals, not witnessing a battle for democracy, nothing lasts forever, Obama and Putin agreed to remain in close touch as the Iran, oddest discussions I have ever experienced, olicy negotiation doesn’t have to be done between friends or friendly nations, one foot in history one foot in future, One of the most powerful instruments of power to the people is Capitalism, only few find the way, only thing certain with regard to foreign policy, opinion editorial thoughts shared, optomism versus pessimism, optomistically cynical, orange revolution, Paris 1919, path for Iranian companies to prosper outside of their limited economic, persepctive on economy, perspective, Pew Research, pluralism, poverty, power of people, productive countries, proud patriots, public scrutiny, pursuing the way, put the restrictions on how a government job, quotations, quotes, reach for the stars, recession, recession affecting shopping behavior, redistribution of power, redrawing boundaries, reduce tensions in the Middle East, relationships, religion & governing, Religion-based Democracy Capitalism, removal of sanctions is not necessarily a gift to the Iran regime, resiliency, respect, responsibility, revolution of thinking, revolves around one basic fundamental governing truth, rhetoric being tossed around with regard to the recent Iran nuclear deal, rhetoric we in America, Rouhani’s presidential election victory, Russia, russia and ukraine, Russia was one of the six major powers that negotiated the deal reached with Iran, Russia's role in facilitating the successful Iran agreement, Sanctions that the rest of the world will no longer honor, saving versus buying, say the Americans look & sound like idiots, seek out events without fear, seeking new experiences, self determination, share those thoughts, share your opinion, shopping around, shopping behavior, sinclair lewis, smallest actions contribute, social imbalance, social revolutions, social unrest, social upheavals, socialism, some mild relaxation of cultural policy, Someone will be right, spending money as soon as we have it, story of two americas, strategy, strength of character to make change, struggling with Iran, Stuff I Like, syria chemicals, taking nuclear development off the table, teaching kids globally, that i will be tomorrow, the constitution, the decline of europe, the economist, the economist e-communication and society, the essence of capitalism is capitalizing, the have nots, the haves, the market performs better than companies, the story of a fragmented america, the story of fragmented middle east, Thinking is thinking, this i am today, this much scrutiny on a major project, thoughtful middle east solution, thrive on dreams and
