Let me be clear … I am not a John Green book fan. I have tried … and I want to like his books … but I just don’t.

But … that said.

I am a John Green fan.

I don’t think of him as a teen girl author … I think of him as a young adult advocate.

Oh.

He is also a quote machine <books make me cringe … individual lines make me sigh with wonder>.

Anyway.

Back to young adult advocate.

As does any author … or anyone in the spotlight these days … he gets shit. He gets the snarky remark or question or comment. He has gobs of critics passionately arguing with gobs of fans.

And I imagine, as with any of these people, they sit on the sidelines and slightly seethe over some of the remarks.

The best stay on the sidelines and stay out of the fray figuring there will always be those blinded by passion and those oblivious to their silly hate.

And then there are those moments where someone like John Green cannot stay on the sidelines … and they show why you should like them … even if you may not like what they publish.

Here is where I became an unequivocal John Green, as a human … not an author, fan.

He may not write books I enjoy reading but he thinks thoughts … and shares thoughts … I enjoy reading.

What the heck.

Pick up one of his books … give it a try. I can only guarantee one thing when you read one … at some point you will come across a well-articulated thought, often in his dialogue, that makes you sit back and think.

And maybe … just maybe … he not only makes you think about teens as young adults with meaningful complex lives … but he also teaches you to think about Life a little differently.

affecting people's conflict behavior, aiming high, aligning generational attitude and technology and consumer trends, alignment, Almost everything that is great has been done by youth, anticipate adversity, architects of fate, art of staying, articulation skills, as adept as adults at recognizing the risks of dangerous behavior, be imperfect, Be ready, be still in midst of activity, beating the system, beautiful brains, beautiful brains refer to the teenage brain, beautiful expansive thinking teen brains, beautiful teen brains, because we can never be irreparably broken, becoming more not getting an education, these thoughts rule you, they are invincible, think about Life a little differently, thinking, thinking too much, thinks thoughts, thinks thoughts I enjoy sharing, this i am today, this inconsistent brain, this time in our lives, thought my life too boring, thoughtful thoughts, thoughtful thoughts on teens, thrive on dreams and possibilities, Today's present will be tomorrow’s past, transformational people, trapped by fear, tries to identify what to focus on, truth, tween doubt, tweens, Twitter, twitter triumph of humanity, uncover some pretty insightful quick thinking sharp ideas, unequivocal John Green, vibrantly alive in repose, voices of a generation, want to like his books, weave our way through a veritable hornet’s nest of thoughts, weighing the pros and cons of engaging in high-risk behavior than adults, what do you do when you get what you want, what kids are saying & thinking, what they are feeling into words, what we are seeking explanations,
